This week’s lesson plan was created by Symbaloo user and avid #symchat attendee, Brenda McPherson, from Pennsylvania. It’s suitable for 4th grade social studies and all who are wanting to learn more about the contributions of famous Black Americans to society. Check it out!
Students will learn how to use the search engine Kiddle to help find websites for their research. As Brenda states, students will learn, “about famous Black Americans who have made significant contributions to art, music, poetry, civil rights, and history that benefit and improve the world we live in.”
The lesson plan features 30 steps and 12 questions. Videos are followed by questions to test if the students carefully listened. With tasks on almost every tile, students are steadily engaged while they work their way through the pathway.
AVERAGE DURATION: 120 minutes
NUMBER OF STEPS: 30
